CORVALLIS, Ore. – In the second to last weekend of Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s soccer action, the race for the regular-season title is ramping up.

No. 24 Oregon Tech (13-1-0, 9-1-0 CCC) def. RV Corban University (9-5-0, 8-3-0 CCC), 2-1
With a first-place spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) standings on the line, Corban University and No. 24-ranked Oregon Tech battled it out with the Hustlin’ Owls pulling out the 2-1 victory. Nate Sherwood struck first for the Warriors in the 21
st minute, but Jake Mitchell found the equalizer in the 55
th minute. Cade O’Neill then gave the Owls the game-winner in the 75
th minute.

University of Providence (3-8-1, 3-6-1 CCC) def. Multnomah University (2-11-1, 2-7-1 CCC), 5-0
The University of Providence bounced back in a big way with a 5-0 blanking over Multnomah University. Five different Argos scored in the victory as UP out-shot Multnomah 18-to-6. Gudmundur Gudmundsson struck first in the 10
th minute before Kolby Hayes got on the board in the 32
nd minute. George Almeida tacked another goal just before halftime and Tomeu Nebot Schmalfeld wasted little time in the second half with a score in the 50
th minute. Jesus Arellano capped the scoring in the 81
st minute.

College of Idaho (7-4-1, 5-4-1 CCC) def. Walla Walla University (0-11-1, 0-10-0 CCC), 9-0
Nine different College of Idaho players scored goals in the Coyotes’ biggest offensive explosion in 18 years, a 9-0 win over Walla Walla University. Kristian Quiros put the Coyotes on the board just six minutes into the game before Vitor Matos scored in the 33rd minute and Liam Kelly capitalized just before halftime to put the Yotes up 3-0 at the break. Less than 90 seconds into the second half, Caio Pereira found the back of the net and less than two minutes later, Zach Flannery scored. Ben Garrick (53

Warner Pacific University (11-2-1, 8-1-1 CCC) def. Rocky Mountain College (6-5-3, 3-5-2 CCC), 1-0
Warner Pacific University kept pace with the top of the CCC leaderboard with a 1-0 win on the road at Rocky Mountain College. Arturo Bahena scored the lone goal for the Knights, despite the Battlin’ Bears holding a 15-12 upper hand. The Knights sit two points behind first place in the CCC standings.

Eastern Oregon University (5-8-0, 5-5-0 CCC) def. Carroll College (4-6-2, 4-4-2 CCC), 1-0
Eastern Oregon University grabbed a 1-0 victory over Carroll College in a pretty even battle. The Saints held a slight edge in shots over the Mountaineers (12-to-11), but EOU was the one to break through. Ryan Brown scored the lone goal for the Mounties in the 58
th minute. Dalton Mauzay made eight saves in goal for EOU to earn the shutout.
