CORVALLIS, Ore. – As the first half of the Cascade Collegiate Conference volleyball season comes to a close, No. 6-ranked Corban University sits in first place with several other teams gunning for the top spot.

RV Bushnell University (13-2, 9-2 CCC) def. Lewis-Clark State College (11-8, 6-5 CCC), 3-1
Bushnell University ended the first half of the Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule with a 3-1 victory, defeating Lewis-Clark State College on set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20. Shay Coons and Halle Neumann finished the night with a match-high 13 kills apiece for the Beacons, with Neumann adding four blocks. LC State was led by Cassidy Nelson and Carli Berntson with 12 kills apiece. Hannah Martinez handled the bulk of the setter duties on the night and dished out 33 assists to go with 13 digs for a double-double.

College of Idaho (8-11, 5-6 CCC) def. The Evergreen State College (5-7, 5-6 CCC), 3-1
The College of Idaho recorded a season-high 66 kills and outlasted The Evergreen State College in four sets (27-25, 23-25, 27-25, 25-20), with two sets going to extra points. A tight match throughout, the two teams played to 15 ties and seven lead changes in the opening set. Danielle Neuman had a season-high 17 kills and six blocks for the Coyotes. Zoe Shaw had a huge night for the Geoducks, posting 22 kills and 21 digs

No. 13 Eastern Oregon University (15-4, 10-1 CCC) def. Northwest University (6-10, 5-6 CCC), 3-1
No. 13 Eastern Oregon Mountaineers pushed its win streak to nine in a row Saturday night with a four-set home victory over Northwest University (25-17, 18-25, 25-17, 25-13). Both squads finished with eight service aces but the front row for Eastern was dominant racking up 13 total blocks, while Northwest had just three. Breanna Shaffer once again paced the EOU offense with a match best 15 kills and had two blocks to go along with nine digs. Susana Bailey tallied 12 kills to lead Northwest and hit at a .312 clip.

Southern Oregon University (9-7, 4-7 CCC) def. Multnomah University (3-9, 2-9 CCC), 3-0
Southern Oregon University grabbed its second win in a row with a three-set sweep over Multnomah University (25-20, 25-17, 25-15). Hailey Van Well's 16 kills equaled the third-highest total for any Raider in a sweep over the last five years. Taylor Russell totaled 18 assists and seven digs. Danae Stokes led the Lions with 12 kills, while Rachel Bailey had 25 assists.

Oregon Tech (12-4, 8-3 CCC) def. Warner Pacific University (1-13, 1-10 CCC), 3-0
In a match that took less than hour to play, Oregon Tech earned a quick 3-0 sweep (25-15, 25-7, 25-11) over Warner Pacific University. For the match the Owls hit at a .567 clip, while holding the Knights to a low .143 percentage. Kaylin Talonen led the Owls with 10 kills, while Brooke Cassidy dished out 20 assists.

No. 6 Corban University (17-0, 11-0 CCC) def. Walla Walla University (0-12, 0-11 CCC), 3-0
No. 6-ranked Corban University kept rolling and swept Walla Walla University in three sets (25-5, 25-10, 25-12) to keep its undefeated streak hot. The Warriors were smoking at the service line and finished with 15 aces to the Wolves’ one. As a team, Corban hit .563 on the night, led by Averi Ridgway’s .750 hitting percentage for 12 kills with no errors. Rylee Troutman followed with 11 kills and had six aces on the night. Jocelyn Curiel led the Wolves with seven kills on a .429 attack clip.
