CORVALLIS, Ore. – The eight seeds of the 2021 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, have been released.
Warner Pacific University (RV) and No. 19-ranked Oregon Tech were named CCC Co-Champions after each posting 11-1-1 records in conference action. The Knights picked up the top seed after winning the tie breaker over the Owls in goal differential (+19 to +18) and also picked up the CCC’s first automatic qualifier (AQ) to the NAIA National Tournament.
The Owls grab the No. 2 seed, while Southern Oregon University picked up the No. 3 seed with a 10-3 conference record. Corban University grabbed the No. 4 seed with a 9-4 CCC mark, while College of Idaho rounds out the top-five with a No. 5 seed with a 7-5-1 conference record.
Rocky Mountain College, The Evergreen State College, and Northwest University finished the regular season tied with 20 points. The head-to-head record tiebreakers put the Battlin’ Bears as the No. 6 seed (1-0-1), the Geoducks as the No. 7 seed (1-1-0), and the Eagles as the final No. 8 seed (0-1-1).
Top-seeded WPU takes on NU on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 11:00 a.m., while second-seeded OIT and TESC also battle it out at 11:00 a.m. College of Idaho and Corban square off while Rocky and SOU challenge each other in the afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
The CCC tournament takes place Nov. 9-12, hosted by Bushnell University. The quarterfinals and semifinals at Willamalane Park in Springfield, Ore., with the championship game kicking off in Civic Park in Eugene, Ore. The CCC Men’s Soccer Tournament Champions will grab the conference’s second AQ. If the Knights advance to the final, their opponent will earn the AQ.
