VANCOUVER, Wash. –[
RESULTS] College of Idaho led five Cascade Collegiate Conference teams at the 42
nd Annual NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championship at Fort Vancouver National Historic Championship Course on Friday.
The Coyotes finished with 183 points to take fifth as a team, while Southern Oregon University took 18
th with 495 points. Oregon Tech finished in 21
st with 522 points and Lewis-Clark State College grabbed 27
th. Multnomah University rounded out the quintet in 34
th place.
Four CCC student-athletes earned All-American honors with a top-40 finish, with C of I’s Ellyse Tingelstad leading the charge. Tingelstad took eighth with a time of 18 minutes, 35.0 seconds to sit in the top-10. The Lions’ Shiloh Najjar grabbed 25
th after crossing the finish line in 18:48.0, while C of I’s Sage Martin (18:56.0) and Oregon Tech’s Faith Widman (18:56.5) were neck-and-neck of each other at 35
th and 36
th, respectively.
