CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Idaho men’s and women’s cross-country teams have been selected as the “Under Armour Teams of the Week” for Nov. 15-21 the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
Competing in the NAIA Cross-Country National Championships held in Vancouver, Washington and hosted by the CCC, both Coyote squads claimed 5
th place on the iconic course held at Historic Fort Vancouver.
The men, led by Logan Hunt had a team score of 222 among the 36-team field. Hunt earned a bronze medal capturing All-American honors traversing the 8,000-meter course in 24:58.90. Daniel Butler joined Hunt on the All-America team, placing 33rd overall (25:49.30). Hayden Bostrom took 66th (26:22.60), Braden Heath took 73rd (26;28.00) and Ian Jackson placed 74th (26:28.30).
Led by All-America performances from Ellyse Tingelstad and Sage Martin, the women harriers scored 183 team points to place 5
th. Tingelstad finished in 8
th place with a time of 18:35.00 while Martin (18:56.00) placed 34
th. Rounding out the scores for the Yotes were Larissa Mauer (19:06.30 – 46th-place), Abbey Shirts (19:11.20 – 50th-place), and Kahea Figueira taking 87th (19:32.80).
