CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2021 Cascade Collegiate Conference men’s basketball season tipped off Tuesday with three games being decided by three points or less.

No. 18 College of Idaho (6-2, 1-0 CCC) def. Eastern Oregon University (3-2, 0-1 CCC), 64-61
No. 18-ranked College of Idaho used a 9-0 run inside the final four minutes to erase a five-point Eastern Oregon University lead to grab a 64-61 victory. Ricardo Time led the Yotes with 15 points, with Tyler Robinett scoring nine points, adding a career-high seven rebounds. Ismael Valdez led EOU with 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Warner Pacific University (3-2, 1-0 CCC) def. Multnomah University (4-5, 0-1 CCC), 86-85
Warner Pacific University put together a strong second-half performance to grab a one-point victory over Multnomah University. The Knights shot 57.14-percent from the floor in the second half to outscore the Lions 52-to-39. Thomas Miles led the Knights with 24 points, while Neyland Block added 20 points for the Lions.

Northwest University (2-2, 1-0 CCC) vs. The Evergreen State College (0-4, 0-1 CCC), 89-71
Northwest University shot at an impressive 53.4-percent from the field to grab an 89-71 victory over The Evergreen State College. Rayvaugh Bolton and Tre Newman shared the load for the Eagles, each scoring 17 points on the night. LaBrandon Price led the Geoducks with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting.

Bushnell University (3-3, 1-0 CCC) def. Corban University (4-3, 0-1 CCC), 71-69
Bushnell University walked into halftime with a two-point lead and it proved to be the difference maker in the Beacons’ 71-69 victory over Corban University. Drayton Caoile led the Beacons with 19 points and was perfect from distance, going 5-for-5 from three-point range. Kendall Moore led the Warriors with 15 points (6-for-9).

Oregon Tech (3-4, 1-0 CCC) def. Southern Oregon University (3-4, 1-0 CCC), 77-61
Oregon Tech jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 77-61 victory over Southern Oregon University. After a back-and-forth opening five minutes, Tech went on a 17-0 run in the matter five minutes to grab a 27-8 lead and held on. Keegan Shivers led five Owls in double figures with 13 points. Kaison Faust (12), Garret Albrecht (11), Joey Potts (10), and Jamison Guerra (10) all got into double figures for the Owls as well. Joe Juhala led the Raiders with 10 points (4-for-8).

No. 19-ranked Lewis-Clark State College defended its unbeaten streak with a 95-73 victory over Walla Walla University. Kevin Baker put together another career night with 32 points, including an 11-for-16 performance from the floor for the Warriors. KiAndre Gaddy and Zaybe Browning each chipped in 13 points for the Wolves.
