CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Idaho men’s cross-country team has been selected as the “Under Armour Team of the Week” for Nov. 1-6 the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The No. 14 ranked Yotes won the 2021 league championship with a team low 52 points outpacing the No. 12 Lewis-Clark State College Warriors (56), as well as, the No. 8 ranked Southern Oregon University Raiders (76). With the exceptional, and somewhat unexpected performance against higher ranked teams, the Yotes secured an automatic bid to the upcoming NAIA National Championship.
Logan Hunt was the individual champion running the 8k course in 24.52.10. Four other Yotes joined Hunt in the top 15 earning All-Conference honors.
The College of Idaho will next be in action on Nov.19 at the NAIA National Championship which will be held in Vancouver Washington and hosted by the CCC.
