VALLEJO, Calif. – Dominique Harding and Kami Walk both scored 21 points, combining for 30 in the second half of Southern Oregon's 88-52 nonleague win at Cal Maritime on Sunday evening.
The Raiders' 10th win was their eighth in a row. They had to work for it harder than the score suggests: their lead didn't inflate until the second half, where they outscored the Keelhaulers (0-8) 56-23.
Walk, a sophomore forward, shot 7-of-11 and pulled down 12 rebounds for her third straight double-double and sixth of the season. Harding, a senior guard, hit her season-high point total on 8-of-15 shooting and with three 3-pointers. She collected five rebounds and she and Walk both had two steals.
SOU held the Keelhaulers to 37-percent shooting and forced 29 turnovers, including 16 in the second half.
Five consecutive Raider opponents have failed to exceed 38 percent from the field.
Point guard Brianna Phiakhamngon had nine points, five assists and four rebounds and wreaked havoc on the defensive end with four steals. Danasia Allison had five steals, the second time she's hit that number this year.
Clara Robbins added nine points and five rebounds and Mia Wilmot had eight and four for the Raiders, who were without starters Syd'Nee Fryer and Kenadee Honaker.
Cal Maritime's Kai Kraus scored 23 points but was coerced into committing 15 turnovers.
The Raiders will work on their 3-0 Cascade Conference record at home this week. They host Bushnell at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Corban at 3 p.m. Saturday inside Lithia Motors Pavilion.
