CALDWELL, Idaho – Catylynn Duff broke the College of Idaho school record in the weight throw and hit a personal best mark in the shot put, as the Coyotes completed Day 2 of the C of I Icebreaker at Caldwell High School.

Kiersten Lancaster recorded an NAIA Top-20 mark in the hurdles, Charlotte Wilson had a stellar debut in the sprints, Morgan Harrison was outstanding in the high jump, and the distance medley relay team put themselves in position for a national bid on the sunny afternoon.

The NAIA has eliminated the automatic and provisional national marks in 2021 to limit field sizes at the Indoor Championships due to the COVID pandemic. This season, the Top-16 marks in each event will earn a spot to the meet in Yankton, S.D.

Duff was dominant, winning the weight throw by nearly three meters – with her second throw of the finals blowing past her own school record with a heave of 17.73 meters (58 feet, 2 inches) – the No. 2 mark in the NAIA this winter. She followed it up with a personal best mark of 12.33 meters (40 feet, 5.5 inches), to place second overall.

Lancaster claimed the crown in the 60-meter hurdles, improving on her preliminary heat by nearly four tenths of a second, clocking a winning time of 9.04 seconds – currently No. 14 in the NAIA.

The women's distance medley relay team also was solid, throwing down the No. 6 mark in the NAIA – as Ellyse Tingelstad, Payton Durocher, Payge Durocher and Abbey Shirts traversed the 4,000-meters in 12:30.93.

In the sprints, Wilson placed second in the 60-meter dash, placing second overall with a time of 8.03 seconds, with Jessica Dorohov clocking a solid time of 26.41 seconds in the 200-meters.

In the jumps, Morgan Harrison won the high jump, clearing 1.59 meters (5 feet, 2.5 inches) a new collegiate best, while Brinley Reed led the Yotes in the long jump (4.90 meters).

C of I will take next weekend off before hosting their second Icebreaker of the season, a two-day meet at Northwest Nazarene on Feb. 19-20.
