CALDWELL, Idaho – Kenadee French scored a season-high 18 points, but Lewis-Clark State was able to hold off multiple College of Idaho rallies to win 76-57 on Saturday night inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

French found her shooting stroke early and often from the perimeter, connecting on 6-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc to lead the scoring attack for the Yotes (4-11).

The Warriors (9-4) relied on the four-headed monster of Jansen Edmiston, Abby Farmer, Kiara Burlage and Abbie Johnson, with the quartet combining to score 66 of the 76 LCSC points.

Edmiston led the way for the visitors, tallying 20 points to go along with five assists, four rebounds and two steals. Burlage had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Farmer drilled five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points.

With LCSC leading 50-30 with three minutes left in the third, C of I went on an 11-2 run to end the quarter to make it 52-41 heading into the final 10 minutes. The span was highlighted by three straight French triples and capped off with a pair of Jada Reed free throws.

Later, another French 3-pointer with 5:41 remaining in the game cut the LCSC lead to 62-52.

The Warriors built some separation over the remainder of the contest, outscoring the Yotes 14-5 the rest of the way.

In addition to French, sophomore guard Allie Cannon had a strong game, racking up 15 points and adding four rebounds and a pair of steals. Reed was the top distributor for C of I with four assists. Lexi Mitchell paced the rebounding efforts with six boards.

LCSC shot 28-of-54 (52 percent) from the floor for the game, including a 9-of-22 (41 percent) mark from outside. C of I went 19-of-64 (30 percent) from the field and was hot from deep, draining 9-of-21 (43 percent) 3-point tries.

C of I is next scheduled to take the floor on Feb. 10 in a rematch against NNU.
