CORVALLIS, Ore. – Due to state and county regulations revolving around the coronavirus, only two Cascade Collegiate Conference basketball teams were capable of competing during the original 2020-21 season. Since restrictions have since been alleviated, the seven remaining CCC men's teams will compete in a spring season.
Sports information directors from the CCC voted on the preseason spring media poll, with Oregon Tech being the near-unanimous decision to win the spring season. The Hustlin' Owls grabbed five out of seven first-place votes for 43 points to sit in first. OIT has not yet played a game for the 2020-21 season.
Southern Oregon University sits in second place with 34 points and one first-place vote. The Raiders have also not played a countable game yet.
Bushnell University (0-0) is two points behind SOU in third with 32 points, while Eastern Oregon University (4-2) follows with 30 points and one first-place vote to sit in fourth. Corban University (fifth, 29 points), Warner Pacific University (sixth, 19 points) and Multnomah University (seventh, 10 points) close out the media poll.
