Conference Announces Modified Spectator Policy
CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced modifications to the spectator policy after the Council of President’s (CoP) met today.
Effective immediately for outdoor sports and March 19 for indoor sports, member schools may allow spectators to attend athletic competitions with capacity limits subject to state/county/local regulations, as well as, campus policies.
“With such a wide variance of what is allowable among our large geographical footprint, the CoP believes providing for local authority regarding spectator engagement was appropriate at this time,” stated CCC Commissioner Robert Cashell. “Each institution will have the autonomy to allow for spectators using the state/county/local guidelines and their own campus’ decision-making process.”
When spectators are permitted, all in attendance will be required to wear face coverings at both indoor and outdoor venues and members of different households are to remain at least six feet apart from each other.
