KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.- For the first time this season, the Lady Owls played at Danny Miles Court, and absolutely dominated. A world class showing from Oregon Tech (8-4, 5-4 CCC) was on display in a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-23, and 25-21) of Bushnell (8-5, 4-5 CCC) who received votes in the latest NAIA Volleyball Rankings Friday at Danny Miles Court. Tech led in nearly every key stat which was evident in their form on the evening.

"Fantastic team effort! Our serving was on point this evening and it provided us an opportunity to get our transition offense rolling," said head coach Ken Murczek. "Very proud of how many points we earned. We will enjoy beating a team receiving top 25 votes 3-0 for about 12 hours and then get back to work for tomorrow's match."

1st Set -- Oregon Tech 25 Bushnell 19

Bushnell got off to an early 10-8 lead, but it was OIT who finished the set on a 17-9 run to go ahead 1-0. A flurry of Kaylin Talonen (Pictured) kills towards the end of the 1st set allowed Tech to pull ahead late and grab the early momentum.

2nd Set -- Oregon Tech 25 Bushnell 23

Like Bushnell did in the 1st set, they got off to an early lead, this time going ahead 4-0. However, Tech again would reply with a run of their own and in no time the score was knotted at 6. Tech would go on another run and grab a 14-8 lead that they would never look back on. The Beacons attempted to make a late run, and cut their deficit to 23-24, but Ireland Bennett was quick to finish off the Beacons with a set-winning kill.

3rd Set -- Oregon Tech 25 Bushnell 21

The 3rd set was Tech's turn to jump out to an early lead, grabbing a 6-2 advantage through the first 8 points. However, like Tech had done most of the night, Bushnell would respond. The Beacons would rally back to grab an 18-16 advantage late in the 3rd set. After a few deep breaths, the Owls would finish the game on a 9-3 run to complete the 3-0 sweep. Improving the Owls to 5-4 in conference play.

Nicole Reyes led the Owls with 15 Kills and added 14 digs, followed by Talonen with 10 kills and Ashley Ripplinger with 6. Brooke Cassidy and Lindsey Beck kept things rolling with 17 set assists each. Aubrey Kievet and Lindsey Sampson added 10 digs each in the Owl win.

Halle Neumann and Jessica Northcutt led the Beacon offensive effort with eight kills each in the loss.
