KIRKLAND – Corban got an overtime goal Monday for a 1-0 victory over a Northwest squad that seemed to have more opportunities.

Northwest had 11 shots and put six of those on frame but couldn't penetrate the net.
Chanel Garcia buried the only goal of the match in the 96th minute, using an assist from Juliana Pires.

"I was incredibly proud of this team today as they battled through injuries and tired bodies to perform at a high level for 90-plus minutes," said NU Head Coach Bryan Chud. "Unfortunately, in this game, you can play well enough to win without getting the result, and that's what happened today. It's a tough one to take when we felt like we'd done enough to achieve the result, but we'll learn from it and move on."

Callie Wright took six shots and put four shots on goal. Olivia Morris and Maya Lewis also tested Devan Archer to no avail.

Kierstin Patefield had a save in goal for the Eagles.

Northwest returns to action with a Sunday-Monday set at Bushnell.
