KIRKLAND – Northwest survived a wild finish to put the final touches on a special Senior Day for Kelvin Omojola in a 96-95 win over Multnomah.

Omojola, a senior guard, scored 26 points to go with 12 rebounds and seven assists. The Eagles needed all of that and a stop on Multnomah's final possession.

Pa'Treon Lee stripped the ball from Forrest Smith as he was about to launch a potential game-winning three-pointer as time expired.

"The best thing you can say about that game is that we won on Kelvin's Senior Night," said Head Coach Jeff Drinkwine. "We're going to miss his leadership. Multnomah is tough to guard, especially if you lose your focus, but our guys made a huge stop at the end."

The first half saw six lead changes and five ties, but the Eagles took a 44-36 lead into the lockers at halftime.

NU built the lead out to 17 points and led 84-67 with 6:48 to play. Multnomah hit four three-pointers in its next five possessions, including three treys by Zach Richardson, in a 12-1 run to make it an 85-79 game with 5:06 to go.

Cole Langstraat scored with 1:35 on the clock to push NU to a 93-86 lead, but the Eagles missed a field goal and went one-for-four at the free-throw line from there. Richardson scored twice inside the arc to make it a 95-93 game.

Omojola made it a four-point game with a free throw with 13 seconds left, and Richardson made the game's final three-point basket with seven ticks left on the clock.

After two missed NU free throws, the Lions had their last chance thwarted by Lee's big deflection.

Zach Richardson led the Lions with 35 points, while Smith finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists.

Joining Omojola in double-figure scoring was Lee with 17 points and Daniel Sharpe with 14.

MU connected on 17 of 39 three-point attempts, hitting 43.6 percent. The Eagles counterpunched with 54.4 percent from the field, getting 43.5 percent of their three-pointers in the basket (10-23).

The Eagles finished the season at 4-3.
