CORVALLIS, Ore. – After having to postpone the 2020 Cascade Collegiate Conference season to the spring, conference action finally begins on Sunday, but with a different format. With no men’s soccer postseason tournament, the CCC teams were split into east and west divisions, with the winners of each division grabbing the conference’s automatic qualifiers to the NAIA National Tournament.
Each team plays an opponent from its division twice in one week, once on Sunday and once on Monday.
In the East Division, Eastern Oregon University hosts Rocky Mountain College – which is receiving votes in the national poll – for its conference opener. College of Idaho hosts the University of Providence, while Multnomah University takes on Carroll College at home.
In the West Division, No. 16-ranked Corban University heads to Bushnell University to open the conference schedule. Oregon Tech and Warner Pacific University round out the first matchups for the West Division after the Southern Oregon University and Northwest University
games were canceled.
Recently, the CCC
announced changes to its spectator policy, allowing fans to be permitted to events with capacity limits subject to state/county/local regulations, as well as, campus policies. CCC member schools intend on live streaming the majority of events, with the schedules being found by going to each athletic department’s website.
