Bartel Takes Home The NAIA National Championships at 197

WICHITA, Kans. – MSU-Northern finished its second day at the 2021 National Championships with three of the five wrestlers placing at the championship meet. Isaac Bartel took home the NAIA National Championship at 197 pounds, while Nick Kunz took eighth place at 133 and Short took seventh at 174. With their top-eight placings, Bartel, Kunz and Short were all named NAIA All-Americans.

Bartel is now a four-time All-American – only the seventh Light in school history to be named All-American all four year of competing. He previously took third (2018) and second (2019, 2020) before claiming his first championship this year.
