EUGENE, Ore. – Ernest Ugoagu and Stevie Schlabach combined for 48 points and the Beacons held on for an 89-83 victory over Warner Pacific University on Friday night.

Bushnell (3-4, 3-4 CCC) shot 52% in the game and out-rebounded the Knights 38-36 to end a brief two-game losing streak. Warner Pacific (3-6, 2-3) shot 48% in the game.

Freshman Dillon Young put in 33 minutes off action off the bench on Friday, scoring a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Head Coach Eddie Alexander said, “Dillon stepped up big tonight off the bench and I am really proud of him. Ernest had to step up with Stevie in some foul trouble and then the both carried us in moments after Logan was knocked out of the game. Our team defense has been a struggle but we are seeing glimpses of improvement.”
