CRESWELL, Ore. – Led by Payton Canon’s 76, the Oregon Tech Women’s Golf team closed out the first day of the Bushnell Invitational with a seven-shot lead over Lewis-Clark State at the Emerald Valley Golf Club hosted event.
The Owls combined to shoot 318, claiming a clubhouse lead over the Warriors who shot 325. Corban University sat in third-place (339) followed by the host Beacons in fourth (359) and the College of Idaho in fifth (370).
Canon’s 76 gives her a one-shot edge over Delainey Patterson from Corban and a two-shot lead over Alexandra Schmidt. OIT’s Aerin Song and LCSC’s Lauren Hamm round out the top-five after shooting 79.
The Bushnell Invitational will conclude with the second round on Tuesday morning.
