KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bushnell University’s Makenna Hadaller was named the NAIA Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday.
Hadaller, a five-foot-eight senior goalkeeper from Burien, Wash., did everything she could to give Bushnell two ties to end the season. She allowed just one set-piece goal in 220 minutes of play while collecting 25 saves.
On Tuesday in the final game of her career, Hadaller suffered a shoulder injury with 10 minutes to go in regulation. After having the Warner Pacific University athletic trainer pop it back into place, she remained in the game to play the final 30 minutes of her career, securing the shutout with five of her 11 saves.
