CRESWELL, Ore. – With four golfers finishing in the top-five, No. 21 Oregon Tech held on to a seven-shot first round lead to win by seven at the Bushnell Spring Invitational.
The third of four Cascade Collegiate Conference events, the Bushnell Invite was held at Emerald Valley Golf Course. First-round clubhouse leader Payton Canon ended the event in second-place for the Owls, scoring a 157 to lead the team to the title. OIT scored a 318-325—643.
Second-place went to Lewis-Clark State (325-325—650). Lauren Hamm had a second-round best score of 78 and finished tied with Canon for second place.
Rounding out the team scores were Corban University in third (339-347—686), host Bushnell in fourth (359-355—714), and The College of Idaho in fifth (370-362—732).
Individual Medalist honors went to Corban’s Delainey Patterson (pictured) , shooting a 77-79-156 for the one-stroke victory. Canon and Hamm followed in second, LC State’s Alexandra Schmidt took fourth at 159 while the OIT trio of Aerin Song, Ashley Zhu, and Maiya Baker rounded out the top-five in a three-way tie for fifth at 162.
Next up for the conference teams will be the CCC Championship event, taking place on April 26-27 in Caldwell, Idaho.
