CORVALLIS, Ore. – No. 8-ranked Lewis-Clark State College’s Cole Olsen was named the 2020 CCC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, announced Thursday.
The Clearwater, Idaho, native had a stellar senior campaign, where he went 4-for-5 on the season. He won the Bushnell Invitational, both LC State Winter Invitationals, and the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, before taking 15
th at the NAIA Championship. He took the CCC crown with a time of 24 minutes, 18 minutes over the 8k course, beating the next closest competitor by 14 seconds.
Olsen helped lead the Warriors to their first Cascade Conference title in their first year as full members, and the fourth conference title since Olsen joined the team (previously members of the Frontier Conference).
