CORVALLIS, Ore. – After a stellar junior season, including winning the Cascade Collegiate Conference individual championship, No. 12-ranked Oregon Tech’s Faith Widman was named the 2020 CCC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, announced Thursday.
The Fairbanks, Alaska, native was undefeated in the spring of 2021 until the NAIA championship, where she finished 36
th with a time of 18 minutes, 33.97 seconds and earned All-American honors. She won the CCC championship in 17:42, which was the 11
th fastest time by an NAIA woman for the season prior to Nationals.
Widman became the third-fastest junior in school history and is currently number four all-time.
