ASHLAND – Jordan Newt hit all four of his 3-point attempts in the second half, where he scored 15 of his 22 points and enabled Corban to hold off Southern Oregon for a 74-67 win Sunday afternoon at Lithia Motors Pavilion.

The Warriors (11-3, 6-2 Cascade Conference), who blew a 12-point lead in Saturday night's loss to the Raiders, bounced back by forcing 17 turnovers. After erasing most of an eight-point deficit at the end of the first half, the started the second on an 8-0 run and were in front the rest of the way.

SOU guard Tez Allen followed Saturday's near-triple-double with his third double-double of the season, recording 17 points, 12 rebounds and two steals. Brad Allen went 4-of-6 with 12 points and six rebounds off the bench, and the Raiders got 10 second-half points and 11 total from freshman reserve Elijah Jackson.

Raider forward Josh Meyer scored 11 and had eight rebounds. His 3-pointer reduced Corban's lead to three with six minutes to play before Newt responded with a three-point play.

Up five with 3:19 left, Newt put the game away with a triple. The senior also had four steals.

Kendall Moore chipped in 10 points and three assists for the Warriors.

SOU (3-3) will play three more at home next week – Wednesday night against Humboldt State (Calif.), and Friday and Saturday against Warner Pacific.
