Tech Takes Two at NU
REDMOND, Wash. – Fifth-ranked Oregon Tech got a pair of shutouts at Northwest Friday, winning 5-0 and 9-0.
Sarah Abramson went the distance for the 5-0 win, striking out eight Eagles.
McKenna Armantrout and Kennedy Jantzi had two hits apiece to lead the Owls’ nine-hit attack. Jantzi had two RBIs.
Sammi Caron had two of Northwest’s four hits.
McKenzie Staub and Kacie Schmidt combined for a nine-hit shutout in the second game with Staub getting the win, striking out four over six innings.
The Owls had 14 hits, getting three each by Kaila Mick and Aubrie Businger and two from Armantrout. Mick and Jantzi had two RBIs apiece.
Caron, Alyssa Maldonado and Jordan Dippel had two hits each for the Eagles.
