CALDWELL, Idaho TEAM RESULTS | INDIVIDUAL RESULTS | In a nail biter, the 2020-21 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Golf Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, came down to just one stroke separating the top-two teams.

With a trip to the NAIA National Championship Tournament on the line, Multnomah University just edged out Oregon Tech for the tournament crown, posting an 883 final score to win its first-ever CCC tournament championship.

Jacob Larson led the Lions to victory, claiming the individual medalist honor with a 212. After sitting in second place after the first day, Larson was on fire in round three and posted the best score of the round with a 69. Isaiah Lamont followed with a 220 to tie for fourth individually.

Oregon Tech – which is receiving votes in the NAIA – took second with an 884. Preston Luckman led the Hustlin’ Owls, posting a score of 219 over the three rounds to take third overall. Fellow Owl Zach Malina wasn’t far behind, finishing with a 220 to sit tied for fourth.

Bushnell was one stroke off the Owls, finishing in third at 895. Jon Holzgang – who named the 2020-21 CCC Men’s Golfer of the Year – and Jackson Muramoto led the Beacons, both finishing with 221 three-round scores. They finished tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard.

Lewis-Clark State College took fourth (910) with Carlos Davila finishing second individually. He finished the three rounds at 216 in the Warriors’ CCC conference tournament debut.

College of Idaho (fifth, 912), Corban University (sixth, 916) and Walla Walla University (seventh, 1001) rounded out the team scores.

Bushnell was crowned the 2020-21 CCC Regular-Season Champion after posting the best win/loss record of the regular season CCC tournaments, including the conference championship.

All-Conference performers are based on the stroke average over a minimum of three CCC tournaments, one of which must be the championship, with the top seven earning the honors. The top stroke average was crowned the CCC Men’s Golfer of the Year, with Holzgang, who averaged a 74.0, earning that title. It marks the fourth time a Beacon has taken home the title – the most of any CCC school.

Multnomah’s head coach J.D. Leonard was voted by his peers as the 2020-21 CCC Coach of the Year.
