KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.— Oregon Tech (6-4, 6-4 CCC) held Warner Pacific (7-10, 3-7 CCC) to just 16 first half points and 28% shooting for the game, on the way to a 67-51 Cascade Conference win at Danny Miles Court in the season finale for both teams.
Tech led 24-16 at the half, but both teams came out firing in the third quarter with the Owls out-scoring WPU 26-19 in the frame to take a 50-35 lead after three periods.
Both teams got back to defense in the fourth quarter with the Owls prevailing, winning the stanza 17-16 and the game 67-51.
The Tech defense caused 16 turnovers and held Warner Pacific to a season low 51 total points as no Knight scored in double figures.
The Owls were led by Kristin Farrell with 17 points including 5-of10 from long range, while Abby Kreiser poured in 16-points and a game high 9 rebounds. Tech's Maddyson Tull finished with 10-points, five-assists and three rebounds.
Oregon Tech's lone senior Beth Derner (pictured with her parents and teammates) finished her season with 7-points and 7-rebounds on Senior Day.
