Pemberton Makes Cut, Continues to Round Three
SILVIS, Ill. – Finishing ten places away from the cut-off, the Multnomah University Lions have closed out their debut at Nationals after two rounds. Continuing onto the third round however, is Jonah Pemberton who will be playing on day three as an individual.
The Lions played consistent at TPC Deere Run, posting a respectable 311 as a team in both rounds of play. Their final day of the season together was played under the sun thankfully, giving them ideal conditions compared to the day prior.
Jonah Pemberton finished the day tied for 35
th, after landing a score of 76 (+5) to keep him on the course thanks to a few birdies and some grit.
Jacob Larson improved by one stroke from Tuesday, posting a 75 (+4). Next up was Isaiah Lamont, shooting a 79 (+8) for the second day in a row. Chase Snodgrass shot two strokes better than his first round, with an 81 (+10). Geoff Strong closed out the group with a final round score of 89 (+18).
Pemberton will be the only Lion to advance, keeping the historic season alive and battling it out on day three beginning at 7:30am on May 20
th.
