MEN'S RESULTS | ] The second day of the 2021 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championship completed at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Complex in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Highlights
- Six events crowned men's champions: the decathlon, long jump, discus, high jump, 5,000m race walk and the 4x800m relay.
- Five events crowned women's champions: the heptathlon, shot put, triple jump, 5,000m race walk and the 4x800m relay.
- Eastern Oregon University saw four athletes earn All-American honors: TJ Davis in the decathlon, Maggie Ledbetter in the shot put, and both Moses McAninch and Karianne Zollman in the javelin throw, respectively.
- Bushnell University's Logan Oakerman took 21st in the discus event.
- Southern Oregon University's Joseph Dotson took second in the decathlon with a personal record of 6,957 points. SOU will be represented in four event finals Friday and Arianna Daniel be in two of them, joining the Raiders' 4x100 team for the other. Camdyn Bruner moved up three spots in the final three events of the women's heptathlon to finish 10th with 4,380 points.
- College of Idaho's 4x800-meter relay team netted All-America honors as Payge Durocher, Roby Young, Payton Durocher and Abbey Shirts clocked a time of 9:16.10 to place fourth overall. Caleb Brown used big efforts in the discus, pole vault and javelin to post a personal best score of 6,359 points in the decathlon, placing ninth overall.
