CLEVELAND – Four Cascade Collegiate Conference institutions rank in the top-50 of the NAIA Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup final standings, released Friday.
Lewis-Clark State College moved up to No. 15 in the final rankings after taking third in baseball, finishing with 551.75 points. Oregon Tech followed at No. 25 (424.00 points) after a second-place finish in softball and grabbing points in women’s golf and men’s and women’s track and field. College of Idaho wasn’t far behind at No. 34 (372.00 points), scoring points in softball and women’s track and field during the spring season.
Eastern Oregon University (No. 43, 325.00 points) finished with points in both men’s and women’s track and field, while Southern Oregon University (No. 68, 227.00 points) secured 100 points after claiming the 2021 NAIA Softball Championship.
Corban University (No. 83, 192.50 points), Northwest University (No. 118, 110.00 points), Warner Pacific University (No. 134, 79.00 points), Bushnell University (No. 171, 25.00 points), and Multnomah University (No. 184, 19.00 points), rounded out the CCC schools.
The Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NAIA Championships. The NAIA Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup will start up again after the fall 2021 NAIA Championships.
