CORVALLIS, Ore. – After the first two weeks of Cascade Collegiate Conference action, only two teams remain undefeated in conference play: No. 7-ranked Corban University and Oregon Tech. All six games Saturday finished in three sets.

No. 14 Eastern Oregon University def. Lewis-Clark State College, 3-0
Fourteenth-ranked Eastern Oregon (8-4, 3-1 CCC) and LC State (6-6, 1-3 CCC) battled it out in La Grande, Ore., with the Mounties pulling out the 3-0 victory (30-28, 25-18, 27-25). Tori Edwards and Cassidy Nelson led LC State with nine kills each, while Breanna Shaffer had 11 kills for EOU. The Mounties held a 10-4 block advantage, while LC State had five aces to just one for EOU.

RV Bushnell University def. Warner Pacific University, 3-0
Bushnell University (7-1, 3-1 CCC) won its third-straight match, topping Warner Pacific (0-7, 0-4 CCC) in straight sets (25-13, 25-9, 25-15). The Beacons out-blocked Warner Pacific 10-1, with Sierra Jenkins having a hand in seven of Bushnell’s blocks. Grace Buchanan carried the Knights with 11 kills.

Oregon Tech def. Northwest University, 3-0
For the second match in a row, Oregon Tech (8-1, 4-0 CCC) had to battle against another team with a perfect conference record but held onto its unbeaten streak. The Owls posted a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-18, 25-18) over Northwest University (3-1 CCC, 4-5). Nicole Reyes led OIT with 14 kills, while Northwest was led by Abi Broussard with 12 kills.

No. 7 Corban University def. Multnomah University, 3-0
No. 7-ranked Corban University (10-0, 4-0 CCC) continued its torrid start to the 2021 fall season, handedly defeating Multnomah University (1-4, 0-4 CCC) in three-straight sets (25-6, 25-19, 25-13). The win pushes the Warriors' season-opening win streak to 10 matches, matching the 1997 and 2019 seasons for the program's all-time record. Ally Tow and Rylee Troutman each had eight kills on the night for Corban, while Multnomah University was led by Jocelynn Porter’s six kills.

The Evergreen State College def. No. 21 Southern Oregon University, 3-0
Coming off a five-set thrilling defeat to Oregon Tech last night, The Evergreen State College (3-2, 3-1 CCC) bounced back in a big way and grabbed a three-set stunner over No. 21-ranked Southern Oregon University (7-2, 2-2 CCC). The attack of the Geoducks had too much size for the Raiders as Hannah Rongen (14 kills) and Lilly Stewart (12 kills), standing 6-foot and 6-2 respectively, combined for 26 kills on 44 attempts. The Raiders got 15 kills from Hailey Van Well and 12 assists and six digs from Gwen Sheldon.

College of Idaho def. Walla Walla University, 3-0
A big night by The College of Idaho (4-8, 1-3 CCC) underclassmen helped the Yotes grab a 25-20, 25-16, 25-13 three-set victory over Walla Walla University (0-5, 0-4 CCC). C of I underclassmen combined for 39 of the 49 kills on the night, with the Coyotes adding nine aces and seven combined blocks. Gabrielle Browning led WWU with 10 kills, with both Anja Cole and Meherio Krainer each recording 10 assists.
