COMPLETE RACE RESULTS
COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – The Bushnell Invitational took place at Middlefield Golf Course on Friday morning with the Bushnell University women and Corban University men claiming victory.
Earning their first time victory since the 2018 season, the Beacon won by two points, outscoring Multnomah University, 36-38, thanks to a strong pack in the 2-5 spots. Multnomah claimed the individual victory as Shiloh Najjar ran the course in 18 minutes, 14.9 seconds and defeated Bushnell junior Rebecca Kuskie (pictured) by exactly one minute. MU also had the third and fourth-place finishers with Anais Mills (19:27.4) and Makenna Stock (19:47.2). Umpqua Community College's Pamela Decko rounded out the top five.
Corban University took third place for the women, and were led by Samantha Dara, who took sixth (20:44.1) and Judah Koehler who finished seventh (21:08.9).
Hannah Scott was the leader of the scoring pack for the Beacons, taking eighth place (21:21.7) followed closely by Aneykah McCall (21:25.7) in ninth. Isabell Webber (11th, 21:52.6) and Kaitlin Cook (12th, 21:59.0) rounded out the scoring with Kennedy Larson close behind in 13th (22:03.8).
On the men's side, senior Robert Swoboda (pictured) won the race by 89 seconds to lead the Warriors to victory. Corban won the team title with a score of 22, claiming three of the top four finishers. Bushnell took second place with 41 points, followed by Multnomah in third (64) and Umpqua Community College in fourth (93).
Bushnell senior Linus Rueegger finished second with a time of 27 minutes, 13.2 seconds, easily out-pacing the third and fourth place runners from Corban, Zach McCammon and Shane Davis, who came in side-by-side at 27:18.
Multnomah was led by Cade Kooch, taking fifth place (28:19.5) and Izak Garza who finished tenth (29:40.1)
Christopher Rosebrook was Bushnell’s second finisher in seventh place (29:02.3) while freshman Noah Mancione also landed in the top-ten with a ninth-place finish (29:33.4) in his first collegiate 8000m race.
