WPU’s Bahena Named NAIA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Warner Pacific University’s Arturo Bahena was named the NAIA Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, announced Tuesday morning by the national office.

Bahena, from Las Vegas, continued his offensive showcase this weekend with four goals against Walla Walla University and another two goals and an assist against Carroll College. In both games, he had the game-winning goals to secure another 2-0 Cascade Collegiate Conference weekend for WPU.

The senior forward raised his goal count for the season to 10 with an average of 1.25 goals per game and jumped four spots to become the conference leader in goals and points. He is also tied atop the leaderboard with four game-winning goals this year.

WPU (7-1-0, 4-0-0 CCC) has a big test this weekend, heading to No. 23-ranked Corban University for a 12:30 p.m. Pacific kickoff. The Knights enter the contest coasting a seven-game winning streak.
