CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Corban University volleyball team has been selected as the “Under Armour Team of the Week” for April 30-Sept. 5 the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The No. 7 ranked Warriors opened conference play on what is arguably the toughest road swing in the league at The College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon University coming away with resounding sweeps in both matches.
On Friday Corban defeated the Yotes 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-12). This was only the second time since 1998 that Corban swept CI inside the J.A. Albertson Event Center. In a rematch of the shortened spring season tournament championship game, it was Corban again earning the victory over the No. 14 ranked Mountaineers 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-17) on Saturday.
Corban (8-0 overall, 2-0 CCC) will remain on the road as they travel up I-5 to take on Multnomah University and Warner Pacific University on September 10-11.
