Salem, Oregon – In an unusual scoring format, playing six and counting five scores, The College of Idaho men’s golf team is in first place after Monday’s opening round of the Bushnell Tall Timber Invitational at the Eugene Country Club with a 384 for a six-stroke lead on the seven-team field.
The top score for the Yotes came from Camden Chose, who shot a two-over par 74 and is third in the individual race. A pair of Southern Oregon teammates Nathaniel Frink (72) and Ricky Reisner (73) hold the top two spots for the individual title.
Behind Chose in the Yotes lineup are three teammates, who all shot 77 (+5) including Tristan Belue, Parker Edwards and Kaissan Virani. The fifth and final score for College of Idaho was a 79 (+7) by Ethan Schloss. The sixth score but not counting towards the team total was an 80 (+8) by Shane Rene.
Tuesday’s final round will take place at the Tokatee Golf Course in Blue River, Oregon.
