CORVALLIS, Ore. – The seeds for the 2022 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were finalized Saturday night.
After winning the regular-season championship outright, (RV) Northwest University picked up the first automatic qualifier (AQ) for the NAIA National Tournament and the top seed in the CCC Championship Tournament. The Eagles won their third conference championship after surrendering just one loss in CCC action.
Southern Oregon University and No. 22-ranked College of Idaho tied for second place in the regular-season standings, with the Raiders grabbing the second seed after allowing one less goal than the Coyotes. C of I enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed, followed by Eastern Oregon University as the fourth seed.
Corban University took the fifth seed, while Carroll College enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed. Oregon Tech grabbed the seventh seed and Rocky Mountain College snatched the final spot as the eighth seed in the tournament.
The CCC tournament takes place Nov. 7-11, hosted by Bushnell University. The quarterfinals and semifinals will play out at Willamalane Park in Springfield, Ore., while the championship game will kick off at Civic Park in Eugene, Ore. Whichever team wins the tournament will earn the CCC’s second AQ to the national tournament. If the Eagles sweep the championship titles, the tournament runner-up will earn the automatic bid.
