WOMEN'S RESULTS | MEN'S RESULTS
LEWISTON, Idaho. – Warrior Cross Country hosted its annual home meet on Saturday in the LC State Invitational, and both teams placed fourth. The LC State men packed together tightly and had their top four runners cross the finish line within 10 seconds of each other. The Warrior women saw strong leadership from their top two runners, as well as contributions from its freshman core.

Mike Collins said. "Might have been a little bit warmer than we normally like, but I thought we handled it relatively well. Probably a bigger factor than the guy's race than the gals."
THE WOMEN
The No. 21 Warrior women finished fourth as the top non-NCAA Division I team with 105 points. LC placed behind Idaho, Gonzaga and Montana, and finished 54 points ahead of NCAA DIII Willamette. Conference opponent Eastern Oregon was sixth.
Geraldin Correa had the highest finish of any Warrior on the day in 14
th (18:27). She was the top non-DI finisher, followed by teammate Brooklyn Shell in 16
th (18:41). Freshmen Clara Stephens and Grace Dixon finished 27
th (19:22) and 31
st (19:33), respectively, and Abigail Peightal rounded out the group's top five in 34
th (19:51).
"Geraldin really stepped up today and ran far more like she's capable of running, with Brooklyn right on her tail," Collins said. "A couple of freshmen really stepped up today, but I feel like we have a lot of potential to get a lot better."

th (20:27) for LC State and Grace Tiegs was 51
st (20:38). Madison Howe crossed the line 55
th (20:54), Grace McCormick was 57
th (21:13), Kelsey Henry was 58
th (21:17) and Haileyann Johnson took 61

THE MEN
The No. 11 LC State men took fourth with a score of 95, besting all of the non-DI teams in attendance. The Warriors finished five points behind Montana, with Idaho and Gonzaga leading the way. CCC opponent Bushnell placed sixth.
LC State showed its depth by shaking up its top five finishers. Brycen Kempton led the way for the tightly packed Warrior team in 17
th place (25:30). Conner May edged teammate Griffen Parsells as the two took 22
nd (25:35) and 23
rd (25:36), respectively. Brycen Brown finished 26
th (25:40) and Connor Turpin rounded out the top five in 29
th (25:55).
"We are so deep right now that we had some other guys step in and make a big difference for us," Collins said. "Looking forward to racing again in a couple of weeks as we head into preparations for conference and nationals."
Cooper Carlson had a strong race for the Warriors with a 33
rd-place finish (26:17). Brady Nelsen was 39
th (26:20), Kobe Wessels was 41
st (26:25) and Carter Gordon took 43
rd (26:28). Clay Shumaker crossed the line 48
th (26:47), Connor Alexander was 54
