KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2022 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championship will take place in Tallahassee, Fla. on Friday, Nov. 18.
Championship Preview Highlights
- We will see 36 teams and 90 individuals at the 43rd Annual NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championship.
- This is the first year that the championship has been hosted in Tallahassee, Fla.
- The 5k race will start at 9:30 a.m. ET at the Apalachee Regional Park.
- The race will be streamed live for the second time this year and can be found HERE and the cost for each race will be $9.99.
- The timer will be sending live results HERE. Keep in mind these results are not finalized until after the review period.
- The defending national champion, Milligan (Tenn.), returns to the championship field in 2022 as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Winner.
- Defending individual champion, Alyssa Bearzi of Milligan (Tenn.), returns to the field with her team.
- There are 10 teams in the 2022 championship field with 10 appearances at a championship since 2010: College of Idaho, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), Milligan (Tenn.), Aquinas (Mich.), Carroll (Mont.), Dordt (Iowa), Indiana Wesleyan, St. Francis (Ill.), Oklahoma City, Olivet Nazarene (Ill.)
- There are two teams in the 2022 championship field that are making their first appearance from 2010-2022: Dillard (La.), Truett McConnell (Ga.)
