C of I Leads Three CCC Teams at NAIA Women’s Cross Country Championship

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Results) – No. 6-ranked College of Idaho led three Cascade Collegiate Conference teams at the 43rd Annual NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championship at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee on Friday.
 
The Coyotes took third overall with 201 points after putting three runners in the top 30. Ellyse Tingelstad led the pack with a 24th-place finish overall with a time of 17 minutes, 55.1 seconds, followed by Sage Martin in 26th (17:57.5) and Abbey Shirts in 28th (17.59.6). All three earned All-American honors with their top-40 finishes.  
 
No. 12-ranked Southern Oregon University had its fourth-best showing in team history with a ninth-place finish as a team, paced by Lauren Forster’s 55th-place finish. No. 22-ranked Lewis-Clark State College took 20th overall as a team, with Brooklyn Shell leading the Warriors with a 59th-place finish.
 
The CCC also saw Bushnell University’s Rebecca Kuskie, Multnomah University’s Shiloh Najjar and Oregon Tech’s Kira Morrow compete as individuals.
