Coyotes Lead Five CCC Teams at NAIA Men’s Cross Country Championship

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Results) – No. 10-ranked College of Idaho led five Cascade Collegiate Conference teams at the 67th Annual NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Championship at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday.
 
The Coyotes led the pack with a seventh-place finish, tallying 227 points as a team. No. 6-ranked Southern Oregon University followed in ninth place with 278 points, while 13th-ranked Eastern Oregon University took 12th with 301 points. No. 20-ranked Lewis-Clark State College took 19th with 503 points and No. 18-ranked Oregon Tech was two points behind in 21st place.
 
Four CCC student-athletes earned All-American honors by placing in the top 40, including a slew of runners coming one right after the other. Hayden Bostrom led the Coyotes and the CCC group with a 25th-place finish, clocking in at 24 minutes, 42.0 seconds. OIT’s Jonas Hartline was right on Bostrom’s tail, crossing the finish line just .7 seconds after the C of I runner to take 27th. SOU’s Isaac Fernandez took 28th overall with a time of 24:43.5, while Oregon Tech’s Nick McMillen clocked in at 24:47.1 to take 33rd.
 
The CCC also saw Northwest University’s Dawson Andrews qualify for the championship as an individual.
