CORVALLIS, Ore. – For the second year in a row, the College of Idaho’s Ellyse Tingelstad was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Rize Laboratory Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, announced Wednesday. Coyote first year head coach Dominic Bolin was named the CCC Women’s Coach of the Year and Corban University grabbed the Team Sportsmanship Award.
Tingelstad, a junior from Joseph, Ore., grabbed her second-straight CCC individual championship with a time of 18 minutes, 27.9 seconds. It helped the Coyotes defend their team championship for the fourth-straight year.
At the NAIA National Championship, Tingelstad was the highest CCC finisher, grabbing her third-straight All-American honor with a 24
th-place finish. She clocked in at 17:55.1, which was a season-best time.
Following the CCC championship, Bolin was selected by his peers as the Coach of the Year after leading the Coyotes to their fourth title in a row and ninth all-time. The Coyotes went on to take third as a team at the National Championship after putting three runners in the top 30.
