CORVALLIS, Ore. – The College of Idaho’s women’s cross country was named the Under Armour Team of the Week for Oct. 31 through Nov. 6, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The No. 7-ranked Coyotes won their fourth-straight CCC Women’s Cross Country Championship, presented by U.S. Bank, on Friday with a near-perfect score. C of I amassed 17 points – the lowest score for a winning team since 2015 – after placing five runners in the top-10, including taking the first four spots.
Ellyse Tingelstad won her second-straight individual title, crossing the 5K finish line in 18 minutes, 27.9 seconds. Five other Coyotes earned All-CCC honors along with Tingelstad and Head Coach Dominic Bolin was named the Coach of the Year.
College of Idaho picked up the CCC’s automatic qualifier for the NAIA National Championship, which will be held on Nov. 18 in Tallahassee, Fla.
