CORVALLIS, Ore. – The CCC Men’s Soccer Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, kicked off Tuesday with the quarterfinals.

No. 1 seed Warner Pacific University def. No. 8 seed The Evergreen State College, 4-1
Top-seeded Warner Pacific University set the tone early with a 4-1 victory over eighth-seeded The Evergreen State College. Andrew Martinez scored the first goal for the Knights, before Erik Mattice netted the eventual game-winner off a penalty kick. Antonio Cipriano-Ojendiz and Brendon Leach also scored for WPU.

No. 2 seed Oregon Tech def. No. 7 seed Eastern Oregon University, 3-2 (2OT)
No. 2 seed Oregon Tech and No. 7 seed Eastern Oregon University gave the CCC its first overtime of the year with the Owls grabbing a 3-2 victory. The Owls battled from a 2-1 hole with Andrew Pasang scoring the equalizer and Cade O’Neill converting a penalty kick in OT to lift OIT to the semifinals.

No. 3 seed Corban University scored three consecutive goals en route to a 3-1 victory over sixth-seeded Rocky Mountain College. Andres Labate and Gian Gargurevich each scored for the Warriors, who also got a goal off a Battlin’ Bear own goal.
