Three CCC Student-Athletes Named United Soccer Coaches All-West Region

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Three Cascade Collegiate Conference women’s soccer student-athletes picked up United Soccer Coaches All-West Region honors.
 
Southern Oregon University’s Jordan Bell, Carroll College’s Blair Stapleton and the College of Idaho’s Gianna Yslava picked up the recognition.
 
Bell, a senior defender from Redondo Beach, Calif., locked down the Raider backline and helped SOU advance to the semifinals of the CCC Women’s Soccer Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. She was a key member in SOU’s defense allowing just three goals in conference action and posting 11 shutouts on the year.
 
Stapleton, a senior forward from Billings, Mont., capped off a stellar senior year where she was named the 2022 CCC Women’s Soccer Rize Player of the Year. She led the CCC in nearly all offensive statistical categories, most notably goals scored with 12 goals scored, and 27 points. She was named CCC Offensive Player of the Week a program record four consecutive times to start the 2022 season.
 
Yslava, a freshman from San Jose, Calif., tallied 13 goals and four assists this season, good for an even 30 points. Her season helped lead the Yotes to numerous program records this season, including total goals and wins.
