Coyotes Lead CCC Group in Learfield Directors’ Cup Fall Standings

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The final NAIA Learfield Directors’ Cup fall standings were released Thursday, with College of Idaho leading the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
 
Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in the NAIA fall championships of men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.
 
The Coyotes sit in seventh place overall with 214.00 total points after two top-10 finishes and one just outside the top-10. C of I took third as a team in women’s cross country, seventh in men’s cross country and 11th in women’s soccer.
 
Not far behind the Coyotes is Southern Oregon in 12th place with 188.00 points. The Raiders grabbed points with ninth-place finishes in both men’s and women’s cross country, along with 17th place in women’s volleyball.
 
Three other CCC schools sit in the top-50, with Eastern Oregon University grabbing 27th with 147.50 points after finishing third in women’s volleyball, Corban University sitting in 40th place after taking second in women’s volleyball, and Lewis-Clark State College three spots behind in 43rd after earning points in men’s and women’s cross country.
 
Oregon Tech (55th, 78.00 points), Warner Pacific University (69th, 57.00 points), and Northwest University (88th, 25.00 points) round out the remaining CCC full member institutions.
 
The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. The winter standings will begin distribution on Thursday, March 30.
