BOISE, Idaho – The Mountaineers traveled to Boise, Idaho for a midweek tilt against the NCAA Division I Broncos of Boise State. Eastern was overpowered by Boise, losing 90-54.
Eastern had a tough time matching up with the Broncos who held a size advantage in the matchup. That advantage showed as Boise crashed the boards outrebounding the Mounties 41-23 as well as outscoring Eastern by 20 in the paint. Add on to that an off-night shooting for Eastern and Boise ran away with the 36-point victory.
The Mounties will look to brush off the exhibition loss and turn their attention to conference rival College of Idaho. Eastern will host the Yotes on Friday for their third conference game of the season. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. in Quinn Coliseum.
