CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA and released Thursday, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw three student-athletes earn the distinction: Oregon Tech’s Garret Albrecht and Matt Van Tassell, along with Lewis-Clark State College’s Al Sommerfield.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
