CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2021-22 CCC Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U. S. Bank, tipped off Tuesday night with the top-four seeds all grabbing wins.

#1 Lewis-Clark State College def. #8 College of Idaho, 61-58
Playoff basketball brings out the best in teams and the College of Idaho brought their best against top-seeded and No. 21-ranked Lewis-Clark State College. The Warriors pulled out a 61-58 victory to advance to the semifinals, despite the Coyotes shooting at a better clip. Callie Stevens led LC State with 19 points, while Sara Muehlhausen was one board shy of a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Allie Cannon led the Coyotes with 17 points in their final game of the year.

#2 Southern Oregon University def. #7 Northwest University, 75-50
Turnovers were key in Southern Oregon University’s 75-50 victory over Northwest University as the Raiders scored 17 points off turnovers to the Eagles’ one. Kami Walk led the Raiders with 20 points on the night to keep her team in the hunt for a tournament title. Livi Lindsey scored a team-high 12 points, while Sam VanLoo grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.

#3 Eastern Oregon University def. #6 Warner Pacific University, 70-61
While it may have taken Warner Pacific University a while to heat up offensively, it didn’t take long for Eastern Oregon University. The Mounties grabbed a 70-61 victory after opening the game shooting a blazing 76.92-percent from the floor in the first quarter. Sailor Liefke led the Mounties with 22 points, while Hannah Myers led the Knights with 21 points.

#4 Bushnell University def. #5 Oregon Tech, 83-77 (OT)
Bushnell University dug deep to force overtime and carried that momentum over with an 83-77 victory over Oregon Tech. Morgan McKinney came up big for the Beacons, posting a double-double with 24 points and 14 rebounds, along with six assists. Olivia Sprague had a big night for the Owls, matching the game-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting.
