CORVALLIS, Ore. – The eight seeds of the 2021-22 Cascade Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, were announced Saturday and action tips off Tuesday with the quarterfinals.

The CCC tournament takes place Feb. 22, 25 and 28, with the quarterfinal round taking place at the top-four seeds’ home courts. For the next two rounds, the highest remaining seeds will host the lower seeds, with a trip to the NAIA National Tournament on the line. As the regular season champion, No. 21-ranked Lewis-Clark State College earned the CCC's first automatic bid to the 64-team NAIA National Tournament. The second bid will be awarded to the CCC Tournament champion, or the tourney runner-up if LC State wins it.

LC State won the regular-season title with a 19-3 conference mark to pick up the No. 1 seed of the tournament. The Warriors, who are coasting a 13-game winning streak, host eighth-seeded College of Idaho, who finished the CCC slate with a 10-12 record. LC State swept the regular-season series between the two teams, grabbing a 66-53 victory at C of I and picked up a 75-48 home win.

Southern Oregon University grabbed the second seed after the tiebreakers were put into play – the Raiders finished with an 18-4 CCC mark, which tied Eastern Oregon University. The Raiders host Northwest University, which picked up the seven seed. SOU opened with a 72-54 victory at NU, but the Eagles gave the Raiders a run for their money at home with SOU squeaking out a 60-58 victory.

EOU picked up the third seed after finishing the regular season with an 18-4 conference record. The Mounties host sixth-seeded Warner Pacific University in the quarterfinals. Due to covid issues, WPU had to forfeit the first contest, but the two teams are fresh off playing each other. The Knights hosted EOU for the final regular-season contest with the Mounties pulling out a 63-49 victory for their fourth-straight win.

Bushnell University, which was picked to win the CCC prior to the start of the season, enters the tournament as the four seed after finishing conference at 15-7. The Beacons host fifth-seeded Oregon Tech in the quarterfinals. OIT was unable to compete in the first matchup between the two teams due to covid, but grabbed a 74-64 victory at home over the Owls.
