CCC Softball Season Swings Into Action Today

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The 2022 Cascade Collegiate Conference softball season swings into action today and is bound for some excitement as three of the final four teams at the 2021 NAIA Championship compete in the CCC.

Oregon Tech was picked to win the CCC title and entered the season as the No. 1-ranked team in the NAIA. College of Idaho began the season in the No. 2 spot, while defending NAIA champion Southern Oregon University ranks fifth in the NAIA.

UBC at No. 5 Southern Oregon University
No. 5-ranked Southern Oregon University is off to an encouraging start with a 10-3 record over the first three weeks of the season, while UBC has only gotten two games under its belt. The Raiders and Thunderbirds open a four-game series at University Field at noon Friday. UBC sat out the 2021 season due to border restrictions last spring.
